Funeral & Grief Recovery

Funerals

NBUC provides funerals for people in the church and in the community, including a webcast of the service for people who can not personally attend, a recording of the service, and a dvd of the life of the person who has passed away. For those who want it, we also provide a "grief companion"-someone who has experienced a similar bereavement and is prepared to be a listening companion as he or she walks the grief journey after the funeral. Volunteers are always welcome.

Light of Remembrance

In December NBUC provides a service to remember and honour the people God has put in our lives who've passed away. The service is designed to help us come close to God with our grief and our memories at a time of year when an empty chair around the family circle is especially painful. The service offers a special welcome to people in the community who have been bereaved recently and who have no source of spiritual support in grief.

Meadowvale Cemetery Service

NBUC provides leadership at the annual Meadowvale Cemetery Service, as a ministry of spiritual support to our neighbours in Brampton who've experienced the loss of loved ones over the past year.
